The Independent Importer Privacy Policy:

This section describes how we collect information on our users and how we use the information.

- You are able to browse our web pages without providing any information about yourself.  If you choose to become a member, you are no longer anonymous and we are now able to track your usage of the site and your interaction with it's content.  The information we collect is as follows: e-mail as well as physical contact information. Depending on your level of usage of our site, we may also ask for credit card information.  We reserve the right to track your bidding and selling histories, as well as we reserve the right to review your transactional ratings and any other communication via public forum on our site.

- We do not sell or otherwise profit from information on our users.

- Our primary motive for collecting your information is to provide as high quality service and user experience as possible.  We hope to tailor the site to suit our user base.  We aim to resolve disputes, prevent potentially illegal or prohibited activities and take care of any problems as efficiently as possible.  Your information may be disclosed to law enforcement officials, only in the event that proper procedures have been followed.

- Your information is not publicly displayed anywhere on our site.  Instead you are identified by a user name which is protected by a password which you are responsible for.  If you choose to use your own name as part of or as your entire user name, you may lose a significant amount of your anonymity.  Your information is stored on secure servers in the U.S. which are routinely scanned for security threats. 

- You have the ablility to view and edit most of your personal information at any time.

- We maintain a policy which does not include spam e-mail.  You may choose to either accept or deny promotional e-mails from The Independent Importer.
